In 2008, I was downsized from a medium sized company. I was with this company for 22 + years. I’m sure a lot of people can relate. I realized that ” job security” wasn’t what it used to be. It no longer mattered if you met or exceeded your goals. It no longer mattered how dedicated or loyal your are to the company. Once they determine your position or skills are no longer needed, they can walk you out the door and not blink an eye.
I went through the typical reaction to being downsized; depression, fear, anxiety, loss of confidence and so on. I am so over it now! I developed a tremendous amount of skills and abilities that no one can’t take away and I am going to share with those who choose to connect with me.
