Don’t Violate Terms and Conditions of the Website you use!

It is imperative that you don’t violate the terms and conditions of the website you use to promote your products and services or if it is a site you can earn money from.

I recently joined a website that allows me to post links and advertise for companies.  It’s really easy and fun to do.  The objective is to get people to click on the link.  The more clicks, the money you get paid for a particular ad.

Don't Violate Terms and Conditions of the Website you useWhen I was researching how to market the links to get more traffic, I came across a YouTube video that encouraged people to post these links on as many Facebook groups as possible.  This is a huge “no-no” and violates the rules of Facebook and the member website where the ad links are found.

I would like to believe the guy in the video was trying to help people, but in reality he was encouraging people to violate policies.  Luckily the video didn’t have very many views and I can only hope that no one is taking his advice.  I sent the guy a message letting him know that his actions are in violation of both platforms but I haven’t received a response.

The point I am trying to make is that everyone needs to be very careful about some of the advice people are giving.  Just because people are doing it, doesn’t mean it is right.  They just haven’t been caught yet.

If you are in doubt about a policy or rule, contact the support team and get clarification. That’s what I did and by doing so, I saved myself from a lot of headaches!

This can apply to any website you join, so a take a few minutes to read the terms and conditions so you stay compliant and avoid account suspension.  Don’t violate the terms and conditions of the websites you use and you will be in good standing.
