How To Prevent Identity Theft and What To Do If You Become A Victim

How to prevent identity theft is something you want to learn about as much as possible. You can turn on the television and hear about some company being hacked and consumer information being stolen, putting thousands and sometimes millions of people at risk for identity theft.

In today’s world, it might be unrealistic to believe our personal information is 100% secure. If you have an identity, you are at risk. We cannot rely on the the government or companies to protect our personal information because they are vulnerable too.

Identity theft victims live a nightmare trying to get their lives back to normal. Millions of lives have been destroyed as a result of identity theft. This isn’t about fear mongering, it is the world we live in. Preventing identity theft should be taken as serious as any other important aspect of your life.

So what can we as individuals and consumers do? How can we protect ourselves from the possibility of becoming a victim and prevent identity theft? The answer is easier than you think…..education and awareness. The more educated you are about the areas you are most vulnerable, the more likely you are to reduce or even prevent identity theft.

I take the subject of identity theft seriously because I know someone who was a victim and saw the adverse impact it had on her. She was always so careful and refrained from having a significant online presence because of her fear of identity theft. The irony is that it happened offline.  She was one of the lucky ones because it was caught very early. Even still, she very extremely upset and felt violated.  I explain more in the eBook.

The more people know, the better armed they are in preventing identity theft, so I decided to write an eBook to inform and educate people about how they can reduce and/or prevent identity theft from entering their world.

The eBook How To Prevent Identity Theft & What To Do If You Become A Victim is available to purchase for $7.00 here on Tips from Lori. The primary goal of this eBook is to educate people about the types of identity theft, how it can happen, how to reduce your vulnerabilities, as well as what steps to take if you do become a victim of identity theft.
