Get paid to recycle your electronic devices such as laptops, cell phones and tablets. It is an easy way to earn some extra cash. I recently came across a website that will pay you for your working and non-working laptops, iPhone, cell phones, iPads and tablets.
I thought okay, I’ll give it a shot. I have a HP Compaq Presario laptop that no longer works. The site quoted me $36.00. They are sending me the shipping box and a shipping label. Sounds easy enough.
After I signed up, I received an email from one of the site’s purchasing managers so I have a contact person, which is a positive.
The site I am referring is cashforlaptops. My referral link is below:
Free to signup!!! http://tinyurl.com/ketvg2z (This is a safe URL, I will not post any scams or unsafe websites!)
You can opt to receive a check or payment via PayPal. I chose PayPal. They even cover the PayPal fee.
Update: 5/20/2014
I received the shipping label and shipping box two days after I signed up to recycle my laptop. Once you ship your item, they will send you a notification that contains your tracking number. Return shipping seems to be a little slow, but since they are paying for it I am not going to complain, but I wanted to mention it.
Be sure to use the checklist they provide to help you follow the procedure. It is so easy!!!!
Final outcome:
I didn’t get the $36.00 initially quoted. The site claimed that my laptop had what they considered ‘medium’ wear which influenced their final offer of $15.00. To say the least, I was pretty peeved at the lower amount, but I decided to accept it. Not so sure I would go through the process again, but I guess $15 buck is better than nothing.
I’m so sure I would be excited to recommend this site. Just be aware that the initial quote will likely change once they receive the item and inspect it. If your unused item is going to sit around and collect dust, going this route may not be all that bad.
