Invest in Your Ongoing Training Part 2

I’m still taking Eric’s course on starting an Internet Marketing business.  I can’t believe how informative his videos are.  I’m on video #61 which is about building an email list.  He has several videos about this topic.  If you’re a newbie to this, you may not be aware of the importance of an email list.  I encourage you to learn as such as you can about building an email list.  You may not want to buy in to it at this point, but the sooner you do, the better.  Building relationships is key.  People have to trust you before they will do business with you.

Eric is also teaching us how to develop an information product and sell it.  That is really cool!  There are tons of resources available!  A lot of them are free and some will require payment.

It’s a good idea to set up a “Training and Education” budget.  Explore some Networking groups and see what they are offering in their training modules.  Most of the groups will offer a trial at a very low price.  If you take advantage of the trial offer, make sure you are aware of the trial’s duration so you can block out the time to look through the training to make sure it is what you are looking for.  If it’s not, make sure you opt out before the trial deadline so you are not charged any additional fees.

I want to mention that although Eric’s course is not costing me any money, my investment is my time.  So, if time is money, then I suppose it is costing me money.  I’m okay with that, because the take away is huge.  I am learning so much!  I recommend this course to anyone who is struggling and needs to get back to the basics, anyone who is thinking about becoming an Internet Marketer and of course anyone who is new to this industry.

Another great resource for me has been YouTube.  It’s a sea of information from people sharing what they know.  I even have my own channel.  I subscribe to several Internet Marketers and Affiliate Marketers on YouTube.  It’s crucial to find honest, trustworthy people to learn from.

Books and eBooks provide valuable information too.  I’m still reading through the 100 eBooks I purchased from Eric.  Some great information in those as well.

I recommend getting very good at time management.  I love what I am doing so it doesn’t really feel like work.  The time flies by and before I know, it is time for dinner!  Setup a daily routine using an agenda or action item list.   This will allow you to prioritize the tasks and stay focused on important, value added activities.

One of the things I love about Internet Marketing is the ongoing learning.  Never stop learning!!
