I finally got up the nerve to start making videos. Now I understand why movie and TV stars have so many “takes” when they are being filmed. It’s actually pretty funny to see their bloopers and I have often laughed at myself while making a video. I’ve learned to watch my videos before I post them just in case.
I watch YouTube videos practically everyday and always learn something from watching other people. I think it is great when someone steps out of their comfort zone and put themselves out there for the world to see. It’s brave of them. I respect that.
What I don’t understand is the people who leave nasty comments and don’t even have any videos posted. I think it is ridiculous. What happened to constructive criticism? Do people leave cruel and nasty comments because they are sitting behind a computer and are “anonymous”?
I’m not writing about this because of any experiences with it myself. I just see the comments when viewing videos. I have to admit, I was disappointed to see a thumbs down one of my videos, but then I had to get over it. Not everyone is going to like me or my videos.
So, if you post videos and put yourself out there, I tip my hat off to you. We all have experiences and knowledge to share with the world. You just never know when someone’s video is going to have a positive impact on you or vice versa. I find that intriguing.
I was feeling a little down one morning and I came across a guy by the name of Kyle Cease. He had a lot of great things to say. His videos lifted me up and put me in a much better state of mind. See what I mean? Out of all the millions of videos out there, I came across his when I really needed it.
Since I’ve started blogging and doing videos, my world has opened up to new possibilities. I really appreciate people reading my posts and watching my videos. Stepping out of my comfort zone has been a great experience. Connecting with people is a great thing too! There is so much knowledge out there, it’s amazing.
If you are considering making videos for fun or to market your business, I encourage you to go for it. There is a lot of great information out there on how to make videos. The more you do it, the better you will become! Read blogs and watch “how to” videos.
