Ways to Make Money Online Ethically

Are there any scam free opportunities to make money from home?  Yes, the Internet is full of ways to make money online ethically.  The challenge is deciding what you want to do and finding legitimate, scam free opportunities.

 

Here are some questions to answer:

1.  If making money wasn’t the only goal, what would you do?

2.  What are you passionate about?

3.  Do you have a hobby or hobbies?

4.  What subjects interest you?

5.  What knowledge do you already possess?

 

I’ve spent the last year and a half searching for those scam free opportunities and after researching hundreds of ‘work at home jobs’, ‘work at home opportunities’, I have a found only a few that I would recommend.  These aren’t ‘get rich quick’ schemes, multi-level marketing, otherwise known as MLM or pyramid schemes.   There are several sites that list scams, but I have found that some of them review opportunities as scams and then promote their own scam.

Affiliate Marketing is a great way to earn a living in an ethical manner as long as you are sure the products or services are not scams.  I see people promoting just about anything for a buck, which to me is disgusting.

There are products for just about any niche you can think of, so take your pick.  The more interested and passionate you are, the better you will do.

A lot Affiliate Marketers focus on building their email list so they can send you product offers.  If you decide to go this route, I caution you to limit your emails to only a couple each week.  I have subscribed to numerous sites, only have my inbox flooded with product offers.  I have since unsubscribed to many of the people who send emails daily.

Another caution about email list building; make sure you understand the FTC requirements.  Understand your email policies and follow them.

Don’t send emails to people who have not subscribed to your site or newsletter.  This is called unsolicited email or SPAM.  Some people are creative in their statements, claiming as long as there is an ‘unsubscribe’ option in their email, their emails are not SPAM.  The definition of SPAM is ‘unsolicited emails’, plain and simple.

Affiliate Marketers use what is called email auto-responders.  This is to help streamline the email process and put them on auto pilot.  Technology is awesome but sometimes it fails.  For example, I subscribed to a website about Affiliate Marketing.  I like the guy’s information, but I was not too happy when his auto-responder flooded my inbox with over 300 emails.  He claimed it was a glitch with his auto-responder.

Something else I noticed after subscribing to numerous sites; I get emails from people I didn’t subscribe to.  That leads me to suspect some of the people are selling my email address for a profit.  I’ve resorted to forwarding those emails to the FTC as SPAM.

 

Blogging is another ethical way to earn a living, but again you need to make sure the information you are providing is honest and accurate.  Misleading your readers is a sure fire way to lose your credibility and drive people away.  If you are providing your opinion, make sure the reader is aware of that.

Is It Possible To Make Money Taking Online Surveys?

Yes, it is possible, but it is imperative that you do your research first.  Also, don’t expect to make a lot of money completing surveys.  I signed up for several survey sites one morning and realized I was going in circles, continuously entering my information repeatedly.  It was ridiculous!  I only work with a few sites, and I don’t bother with the offers unless they are free.

I am very disappointed in Paidviewpoint.com.  They started out okay, but I notice the closer I get to reaching the minimum payout, the fewer surveys I receive and my trait-score has not increased after the last two surveys I completed.  The higher your trait-score, the more money you can earn for each survey.  I’ll stick it out until I get my payout, but I no longer recommend them.

Update for Paid Viewpoint:  I have changed my opinion of this site and have started using it again.  I was able to get my first payout of $15.00 and as I started focusing on it more, I am close to reaching a second payout.  My trait-score is over the recommended 9000.  I am now getting two survey invites per day.  The survey earnings aren’t that much, but there is no qualification requires like most survey sites. 

I also use InboxDollars and SendEarnings.  I do not bother with their offers or surveys because of the qualification requirements.  I only read the emails, play a few games here and there, watch a few videos, and perform searches.

 

Sell Your Own Products

You can make and sell your own products on sites like Etsy or ebay.  Etsy is quickly become the selling platform for people who produce their won products.  I no longer sell on eBay because their fees are ridiculous.  Etsy’s fee are very fair and straight forward.

eBooks and other types of digital products are very popular ways to make money online.  They are a great source of passive income.  Once they are completed and available for download to your visitor, you can make money 24/7.

 

Conclusion

There are countless ways to make money online but you need to perform thorough research and read unbiased reviews.  The Internet is full scams and get rich schemes. The scammers know that a percentage of people will fall for them.
